Chanel Shorts Outfit Cruise 2012
When I saw the Chanel Cruise 2012 collection at Eden Roc last year I instantly fell for the retro shorts outfits. Now the collection is in the stores but unless you have endless finances the price alas is way beyond the average budget.
I checked eBay already to see if any if the pieces are on auction yet -wishful thinking I know - but I did find a small size of the chanel 12c silk walking shorts - but still too expensive and way more than I would ever spend on a pair of shorts even if I could afford it.
Chanel cruise 2012 shorts on eBay
The cream cashmere top and cardigan from Chanel is embellished with iron on hotfix rhinestuds and sequins, I looked at the one in the chanel store and thought it would be easy enough to interpret.
Look for a plain cream or off white polo shirt - I found a nice used J Crew cashmere one on eBay for under $20.00. Also on eBay I found iron on hotfix rhinestuds and sequins that can be applied to create a border.

Prouvé chairs - source Wikipedia
Jean Prouvé's was a self taught architect who set a new direction in utilitarian design in furniture and architecture - for example in his design for utilitarian chairs and tables he rejected tubular steel in favor of solid metal. His Ferembal House was built in Nancy, France, in 1948, was used as the office for a can factory. Composed of five axial frames clad with wooden panels, set on a tall masonry base and occupying less than 600 square feet in a single raised story, this prefabricated structure was a classic example of Prouvé's advocacy of mobile architecture. Thirty years later, however, the company went out of business and the factory was demolished. Fortunately a Nancy resident had the wherewithal to dismantle and preserve Prouvé's innovative building, putting it into storage. In 1991, the well-known Parisian design gallerist Patrick Seguin traveled to Nancy to locate the Ferembal House. Seguin spent the next ten years raising the funds to renovate it, working in tandem with Prouvé experts, and in 2007 invited his longstanding friend, the architect Jean Nouvel, to undertake a creative adaptation of the House.
